Books for children,have we done the right thing...

It appears we have left it for others to decide what our children should read.I mean we have abdicated our responsibility to people from across the seas/oceans to decide what our children should grow up.This is reality.A harsh reality.When are we going to learn.Emulating west in each and everything we,are falling into the same trap that west fell into.Isnt it time we learnt,we should avoid the pitfalls that west faced,why is it west turning more towards the east.Looking for conviction.When are we going to realise,that we do have our own best system,but simply aping the west has become the way of life.
It reflects badly on us citizens,that we have neither cared or bothered about our children falling prey.Children shall always remain children.Its for us to guide them to evolve as better and achieving students rather than also ran,We do have a responsibility,which we can never abdicate saying the MNC s have the where with all hence they are able to market their products better.We should and must guide them into reading whats good or bad for them.Simply bringing up a child as a dreamer never helps .At the same time the harsh reality of todays world has to be moderated for the child so the child as it grows,able to understand and adjust to realities of world out there.I wish more citizens participate in a debate and and come to undertand the realities of life.
